There is a book out there entitled Rules for Radicals that was written by a man named Saul Alinsky. Supposedly, this book has inspired the likes of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Interestingly enough, the book is dedicated to “the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”
From a Christian perspective, this is both extremely disturbing and so ridiculous that it’s almost funny. Here’s why:
The disturbing part is that, President Obama, the leader of the free world a person who at his very best, gives anemic lip-service to Christianity as well as the arch-liberal former Secretary of State and future presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton both have been inspired by a book dedicated to Satan.
The ridiculous part is that the book makes the mistaken assumption that Lucifer’s kingdom has some sort of eternal existence, like the devil has somehow outsmarted and defeated the One True Living God. Obviously, Alinsky hasn’t read a New Testament lately — if ever — and appears to be completely ignorant of a couple of truths that would definitely rain on his liberal parade honoring the archenemy of mankind:
- Satan has already been defeated by Jesus — The NT is very clear that Jesus defeated Satan during His death, burial, and resurrection, having defeated death, Hell, and the grave:
- Satan and his followers are going to fry. The New Testament is extremely clear about the eternal destiny of Satan and his minions, both demonic and human:
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He (Jesus) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. — Colossians 2:15 (parentheses mine)
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.’ — Revelation 20:10-15
Sounds to me like some extremely highly placed government officials are definitely backing the wrong horse!
Thanks for reading!
